Unexploded Ordnance Part 7

The problems here are even worse than shown on the forms. The area has never actually been surveyed. The people tasked to do the survey seemed unwilling to wander around in all the sewage to look for the bombs.

So in reality, the Tijuana River Estuary and Border Field State Park could be rated almost anywhere on these forms. The good news is that all the sewage is actually keeping park visitors out of what might well be some kind of huge mound of unexploded ordnance.

Vast park vistas filled with interesting “artifacts” await the visitor. Even if they are covering a minefield, or a bombing range, or a sewage coated explosives disposal area.
